Edible Poetry

This morning
I composed
an edible poem.
Ivy-leafed Morning Glory
Autumn Transcendence

your tale too
ends in a pyre,
autumn transcendence
Painted Stork

Just a painted stork
in a topaz sky
when I turned back
Marigold’s Secrets

Caterpillar,
you shouldn't leave with
marigold's secrets
Water Lily

Water lily,
your dreams can float
without dandelions
Photo A Day Challenge- Bare Branches
November Photo A Day Challenge, by City Sonnet, Day 6.
What does a tree with bare branches remind you of?
Solitude?
Longing?
Waiting?
Hope?

Lost in distant dreams of leaves' embrace, flowers' kiss proud, tall, branches bare.
False Yellowhead
Found these False Yellowhead seeds during my evening walk.

Patiently waiting on the branches of death to drift away.
False Yellowhead has an astringent smell which most people find unpleasant.
My dear one, don’t fall in love with any woman who only has good looks, she is like a false yellowhead flower: beautiful, but full of stench.
What a piece of advice! It is credited as Catalan.
